ज़ुल्म के ख़िलाफ़ उठ खड़े होना हर शहरी की ज़िम्मेदारी है’

(सब्र का मतलब यह नहीं है कि चुप-चाप ज़ुल्म सहते जाओ, 

ज़ुल्म हर समाज में नापसन्दीदा है)

कोई भी इंसान ज़ुल्म से मुहब्बत नहीं करता, इसके बावजूद इतिहास के हर दौर में ज़ुल्म होता रहा है। इंसान की फ़ितरत है कि जब उसे ताक़त हासिल हो जाती है तो अपने ही भाइयों पर ज़ुल्म करने लगता है, जब तक वो ख़ुदा से न डरता हो। अल्लाह का डर ही ताक़तवर को ज़ुल्म से दूर रखता है। इसीलिये जब-जब ऐसे हुक्मरां हुए जो ख़ुदा का डर रखने वाले थे तब-तब ज़ुल्म और ज़ालिम को अपने पाँव समेटने पड़े। ज़ुल्म करना तो ज़ुल्म है ही, ज़ुल्म सहना भी दरअसल अपने-आप में ज़ुल्म है। ज़ुल्म सहने से ज़ालिम के हौसले बुलंद होते हैं वह और भी ज़्यादा ज़ुल्म करता है। 

ज़ुल्म की उम्र हालाँकि कम होती है। लेकिन इसके नुक़सानात देर तक बर्दाश्त करने पड़ते हैं। हर दौर में ज़ुल्म के ख़िलाफ़ खड़े होने वाले भी पैदा होते रहे। यह कुदरत का निज़ाम है। अल्लाह एक मुद्दत तक ही ज़ालिम को मौहलत देता है। जब ज़ालिम हद से बढ़ता है तो उसके मुक़ाबले पर खड़े होने वालों की हिमायत करके ज़ुल्म का ख़ात्मा कर देता है। ख़ुद हमारे देश में अंग्रेज़ों के अत्त्याचारों के ख़िलाफ़ आवाज़ उठाने वालों की उसने मदद की। जिसकी बदौलत उस ज़ुल्म से नजात मिली और आज़ादी की सुबह नसीब हुई। 

ज़ुल्म की बहुत-सी शक्लें हैं। एक शक्ल ये है कि इन्सानों की आज़ादी छीन ली जाए। हर शख़्स आज़ाद पैदा हुआ है उसे ग़ुलाम बनाने का किसी को हक़ नहीं है। आज़ादी यह है कि इंसान अपने पसंद की ज़िन्दगी गुज़ारे, अपनी पसंद का खाए-पिए, उसे जो अच्छा लगे वो पहने, उसकी ख़ानदानी ज़िन्दगी आज़ाद हो। उसकी मज़हबी ज़िन्दगी आज़ाद हो, वो चाहे एक ख़ुदा को माने चाहे हज़ारों ख़ुदाओं को। अगर कोई हुकूमत या गरोह बाक़ी इंसानों पर अपनी पसंद को इख़्तियार करने पर मजबूर करे या ऐसा माहौल बनाए जिससे इंसान की पसंद मुतास्सिर होती हो या वह अपनी पसंद और ख़ाहिश पर अमल करते हुए डरता हो, तो यह ज़ुल्म है। 

भारत में आज यही हो रहा है। अल्पसंख्यकों को मजबूर किया जा रहा है कि वे बहुसंख्यकों की पसंद और ख़ाहिश के सम्मान में अपनी पसन्द को छोड़ दें। क़ानून बनाकर उन्हें पाबंद किया जा रहा है कि वे अपनी इच्छाओं का गला घोंट दें। देश में हलाल मीट और झटका की बहसें, आज़ान, लाउड-स्पीकर और हिजाब पर पाबंदियां, इसी श्रेणी में हैं। लोग जब सच बोलने से डरने लगें तो ज़ुल्म अपनी चरम को पहुँच जाता है। 

अभी कुछ ही दिन पहले एक मुस्लिम नौजवान को केवल इसलिये गिरफ़्तार कर लिया गया कि उसने फ़ेसबुक पर लीची को फ़ोटो डालकर उसकी जाँच करने की माँग कर दी थी। दूसरी तरफ़ मुसलमानों को गालियाँ देने वाले, इस्लाम और पैग़म्बरे-इस्लाम का अपमान करने वाले, धर्मसंसद में मुसलमानों के ख़िलाफ़ नरसंहार की बात करने वाले, समाज को बाँटने वाली ज़बान बोलने वाले आज़ाद घूम रहे हैं। 

ज़ुल्म की एक शक्ल आर्थिक है। देश में आर्थिक अत्याचार भी जारी है। जिसका नतीजा महंगाई और बेरोज़गारी में बढ़ोतरी की सूरत में सामने आ रहा है। सरकारी संपत्ति को बेच देना, सरकारी संस्थाओं को निजी कम्पनियों को देना, टैक्स में बढ़ोतरी, छोटे कारोबार ख़त्म करना, ऐसे क़ानून बनाना जिससे छोटे किसान ग़ुलाम हो जाएँ, यह सब आर्थिक अत्याचार है। इसी ज़ुल्म के खिलाफ़ किसानों का आंदोलन हुआ था, जो किसी हद तक कामयाब हुआ। 

इस वक़्त रुपये की क़ीमत पिछले सत्तर सालों में सब से कम है। G.D.P में लगातार गिरावट आ रही है। ग़रीबी रेखा से नीचे ज़िन्दगी गुज़ारने वालों में हर वक़्त बढ़ोतरी हो रही है। आर्थिक ज़ुल्म देश की कमर तोड़ देता है। हमारे पड़ौसी देश श्रीलंका की सूरते-हाल हम सबके सामने है। आज वहाँ के शहरी दाने-दाने को मोहताज हैं। पूरा देश सड़क पर आ गया है। हुक्मरानों के घर जलाए जा रहे हैं। उन्हें कार के साथ झील में धक्का दिया जा रहा है। जब आप किसी के मुंह से निवाला छीनेंगे तो यही प्रतिक्रिया होगी। 

ज़ुल्म की एक शक्ल इतिहास पर ज़ुल्म है। इतिहास को मिटाना और बदल देना ज़ुल्म है। बद-क़िस्मती से हमारा देश इस मामले में सबसे आगे है। हमारे देश में पिछले हुक्मरानों को, जो यहीं पैदा हुए और यहीं दफ़न हो गए, हमलावर कह कर उनका धर्म रखनेवालों पर ज़ुल्म को सही ठहराया जा रहा है। उनके बारे में झूटी बातें लिखकर क़ौमों में दुश्मनी पैदा की जा रही है। यह दुश्मनी इस हद तक है कि उनके बसाए हुए शहरों के नाम बदले जा रहे हैं, उनके नाम से बनी सड़कों के नाम बदले जा रहे हैं। उन पर मंदिर तोड़ने के बेबुनियाद इल्ज़ाम लगाए जा रहे हैं। 

इतिहास के साथ यह ज़ुल्म बहुत ही ख़तरनाक है। अव्वल तो देश के हुक्मरानों को इतिहास में हुई घटनाओं का हिसाब मौजूदा दौर के लोगों से लेने का कोई हक़ ही नहीं, न ही मौजूदा नस्ल अपने पूर्वजों के लिये उत्तरदायी है। मगर अपने सियासी फ़ायदों को हासिल करने के लिये इतिहास को बदला जा रहा है। 

देश में पढ़े-लिखे लोगों पर भी ज़ुल्म हो रहा है। ऊँची तालीम हासिल करने के बाद भी चाय-पकोड़े बेचने, जैसा कारोबार करने पर मजबूर होना बहुत ही ज़्यादा शर्म की बात है। इसका मतलब है कि हमारे पास पढ़े-लिखे लोगों से फ़ायदा उठाने की कोई प्लानिंग नहीं है। हम अपने अच्छे दिमाग़ों को बर्बाद कर रहे हैं। यह तस्वीर एक तरफ़ बेरोज़गारी को दर्शा रही है, दूसरी तरफ तालीम की अहमियत और फ़ायदों को कम कर रही है। पढ़े-लिखे लोगों की यह दुर्गति देख कर नई नस्ल शिक्षा की तरफ़ कैसे आकर्षित होगी? 

सिलेबस से नैतिकता को निकाल देना भी ज़ुल्म है। तालीमी इदारों पर मुख़्तलिफ़ ग़ैर-ज़रूरी पाबन्दियाँ लगाना भी ज़ुल्म है। इसके अलावा किसी मुल्क में करप्शन का होना भी ज़ुल्म है। करप्शन ख़ुद ज़ुल्म है। इसकी वजह से हक़दार अपने हक़ से महरूम हो जाता है। मरीज़ अपनी जान से जाता है, इंसाफ़ ख़रीद लिया जाता है, लोगों के घर बर्बाद हो जाते हैं। 

ज़ुल्म चाहे किसी भी शक्ल में हो और किसी पर भी हो, इस्लाम की तालीम है कि उसके ख़िलाफ़ खड़ा हुआ जाए। एक मोमिन न ज़ुल्म करता है, न ज़ुल्म सहता है और न होने देता है। अगर उसके पास ताक़त होती है तो तलवार के ज़ोर से ज़ुल्म को रोकता है, वह विपक्ष में होता है तो उसके ख़िलाफ़ ज़बान और क़लम का इस्तेमाल करता है। कहीं मग़लूब होता है तो दिल से ज़ुल्म को बुरा समझता है, उसकी आखें ज़ुल्म को देखकर आँसुओं से भर जाती हैं और दिल तड़प उठता है। 

इस्लाम और ज़ुल्म एक-दूसरे की ज़िद (विपरीत) हैं। देश के मौजूदा हालात में मुसलमानों की ज़िम्मेदारी केवल यही नहीं है कि वे अपने ऊपर हो रहे ज़ुल्म का रोना रोएँ बल्कि उन्हें देश के दूसरे नागरिकों के अधिकारों का हनन करने वाले क़ानूनों के ख़िलाफ़ भी खड़े होना है। ज़ुल्म के ख़िलाफ़ उठने वाली आवाज़ को मज़बूत करना है। सब्र का मतलब केवल यह नहीं है कि चुपचाप ज़ुल्म को सहते जाएँ, बल्कि इसका मतलब यह है कि उसके ख़िलाफ़ खड़े हो जाएँ और डट जाएँ, यहाँ तक कि ज़ुल्म और ज़ालिम का ख़ात्मा हो जाए। 

बहुत-से समाज सुधारक इस वक़्त सब्र की तलक़ीन करते हुए नसीहत कर रहे हैं कि ज़ुल्म के ख़िलाफ़ सड़कों पर न आएँ, T.V डिबेट में शिरकत न करें, अपनी तरफ़ से क़ानूनी कार्रवाई न करें। इन नसीहतों के नतीजे बुज़दिली और साहस की कमी की शक्ल में निकलेंगे। अगर आप ज़ुल्म के ख़िलाफ़ सड़कों पर नहीं आएँगे तो ज़ुल्म को कैसे रोकेंगे? अगर आप T.V डिबेट में नहीं जाएँगे तो देशवासियों के सामने सही बात कैसे आएगी? बुज़दिली नहीं, पामर्दी दिखाइये। ताक़त हासिल करके इंसाफ़ क़ायम कीजिये। ज़ुल्म ने सियासी तौर पर मुत्तहिद होकर ज़ुल्म का रास्ता इख़्तियार किया है तो आप भी इसी रास्ते पर चल कर ज़ुल्म का ख़ात्मा कीजिये।

Patience does not mean that you keep on suffering silently.

 Oppression is disliked in every society)

 No human being loves oppression, yet oppression has happened in every period of history.  It is the nature of man that when he gets power, he starts oppressing his own brothers, unless he is not afraid of God.  It is the fear of Allah that keeps the strong from oppression.  That's why whenever there were rulers who were God-fearing, then the oppressors and oppressors had to hide their feet.  To commit oppression is oppression, but to tolerate oppression is actually oppression in itself.  By tolerating oppression, the spirits of the oppressor are high, he commits even more oppression.

 However, the age of oppression is short.  But its disadvantages have to be tolerated for a long time.  Those who stood against the oppression were also born in every era.  This is the rule of nature.  Allah gives respite to the oppressor only for a period.  When the oppressor increases beyond limits, he ends the oppression by supporting those who stand against him.  He himself helped those who raised their voice against the atrocities of the British in our country.  Because of which we got freedom from that oppression and got the dawn of freedom.

 There are many forms of oppression.  One aspect is that the freedom of human beings should be taken away.  Every person is born free, no one has the right to make him a slave.  Freedom is that a person can live the life of his choice, eat and drink of his choice, wear whatever he likes, his family life should be free.  His religious life should be free, he may believe in one God or thousands of Gods.  If a government or group forces other human beings to make their own choices or creates an environment in which a person's choice is limited or he is afraid of acting on his choice and desire, then it is oppression.

 This is what is happening in India today.  Minorities are being forced to give up their preferences in deference to the wishes and desires of the majority.  By making laws, they are being restricted to strangle their desires.  The country's debates about halal meat and jhatka, the ban on azaan, loud-speakers and the hijab, all fall into this category.  When people are afraid to speak the truth, oppression reaches its peak.

 Just a few days ago, a Muslim youth was arrested just because he posted a photo of litchi on Facebook and demanded its investigation.  On the other hand, those who abuse Muslims, those who insult Islam and Prophet-Islam, those who talk about genocide against Muslims in the Parliament of Religions, those who speak the language to divide the society are roaming freely.

 One form of oppression is economic.  Economic atrocities are also continuing in the country.  The result of which is coming to the fore in the face of increase in inflation and unemployment.  Selling off government property, giving government institutions to private companies, increasing taxes, ending small businesses, making laws that enslave small farmers, all these are economic atrocities.  There was a movement of farmers against this oppression, which was successful to some extent.

 At this time, the value of rupee is the lowest in the last seventy years.  There is a steady decline in G.D.P.  The number of people living below the poverty line is increasing all the time.  Economic oppression breaks the back of the country.  The condition of our neighboring country Sri Lanka is in front of all of us.  Today the townspeople there are dependent on every grain.  The whole country has come on the road.  The houses of the rulers are being burnt.  They are being pushed into the lake with the car.  This is the reaction when you snatch a morsel from someone's mouth.

 One form of oppression is oppression of history.  Erasing and changing history is oppression.  Unfortunately, our country is at the forefront of this matter.  In our country, by calling the previous rulers, who were born here and buried here, as invaders, the persecution of those who follow their religion is being justified.  Enmity is being created among nations by writing false things about them.  This enmity is to such an extent that the names of the cities built by them are being changed, the names of the roads named after them are being changed.  Baseless allegations of breaking the temple are being leveled against them.

 This oppression with history is very dangerous.  First of all, the rulers of the country have no right to take account of the incidents in the history from the people of the present era, nor is the present race responsible for its ancestors.  But history is being changed to gain political benefits.

 Even the educated people are being oppressed in the country.  It is a shame to be forced to do business like selling tea and pakodas even after getting higher education.  This means that we do not have any planning to take advantage of educated people.  We are wasting our good brains.  On the one hand, this picture is showing unemployment, on the other hand it is reducing the importance and benefits of education.  Seeing this plight of educated people, how will the new generation be attracted towards education?

 Removing morality from the syllabus is also atrocity.  It is also oppression to impose various unnecessary restrictions on educational institutions.  Apart from this, the existence of corruption in any country is also a crime.  Corruption itself is a crime.  Because of this the entitled person is deprived of his rights.  A patient loses his life, justice is bought, people's homes are destroyed.

 Whatever may be the form of oppression and on whomsoever it may be, Islam teaches us to stand against it.  A believer neither perpetrates oppression, nor tolerates it nor allows it to happen.  If he has the power, he stops the oppression with the force of the sword, if he is in opposition, he uses his tongue and pen against him.  Somewhere when he is conquered, he considers the oppression bad from his heart, his eyes fill with tears seeing the oppression and his heart aches.

 Islam and oppression are opposites of each other.  In the current situation of the country, it is not only the responsibility of the Muslims to cry about the oppression being done on them, but they also have to stand against the laws that violate the rights of other citizens of the country.  The voice raised against oppression has to be strengthened.  Patience does not only mean to bear the oppression silently, but it means to stand up and persevere against it, till the oppression and the oppressor comes to an end.

 At this time, many social reformers are advising patience, not to come on the streets against oppression, not to participate in T.V debates, not to take legal action on their behalf.  The results of these advice will come out in the form of cowardice and lack of courage.  If you do not come on the streets against the oppression, then how will you stop the oppression?  If you don't go in T.V debate then how will the right thing come in front of the countrymen?  Don't be cowardly, show smartness.  Establish justice by gaining strength.  Oppression has chosen the path of oppression by becoming politically united, so you also end the oppression by following this path.
