मेरा गांव तेरा शहर

 

ये शहर बहुत अजीब हैं तुझे पता हैं क्या

खो गया था मैं  यहां तुझे  खबर हैं  क्या

यहां   की  हवा मेरे गाँव के  जैसी नही हैं

फिर   तेरा इस  शहर में कुछ रखा हैं क्या

चल गांव बुलाता हैं तुझे पुकारती हैं तुझे माँ

वो कच्ची छते प्यारे प्यारे लोग यहां हैं क्या

तू सिर्फ तन्हा हैं यहां तेरा अपना कोई नही

तेरे सब गांव में हैं तुझे याद करते हैं तुझे वहां

जब से शहर आया हूं मैं घूट सा रहा हूं 

बता मुझे यहां की हवा जहरीली हैं क्या 

मैं रातभर सड़क पर था सब अलग दिखा मुझे

ना गांव की रिवायतें ना बुज़ुर्गों की पंचायत हैं यहां

बेशक़ यहां ऊँची ऊँची इमारतें बड़े बड़े किले हैं

लेकिन मेरे गांव के जैसे खुले घर यहां हैं कहां

इस शहर में पेड़ पौधे और फुलवारियां भी हैं

मगर इन पेड़ पौधों की ठण्डी हवा हैं कहां

ये शहर तुझे मुबारक हो मैं चला यहां से

एक दिन आएगा तू लौटकर यहां से वहां

लिखना तो अभी बहुत कुछ चाहता था मैं

लेकिन तेरे शहर पर लिखने के लिए हैं भी क्या

i was lost here do you know

The air here is not like my village

Then do you have anything in this city?

Let's go to the village, mother calls you

Are those raw roofs lovely people here?

You are just alone, you have no one here

Everyone is in your village, they remember you there

I've been choking since I came to town

tell me is the air here poisonous

I was on the road all night, everything looked different to me

There are neither village traditions nor elders' panchayat here

Of course there are tall buildings here big forts

But where are the open houses like in my village here

There are also trees and flowers in this city.

But where is the cool air of these trees and plants

This city is happy for you, I left here

one day you will come back from here to there

I just wanted to write so much

But what is there to write about your city
