मेरे मौला मेरे हक़ में तू बस इतना सा लिख दे

मैं जब जब मदीना सोचूं  मदीने का दीदार लिख दे

मेरा दिल तड़प रहा हैं मेरी सांसे धड़क रही हैं

इन गिरते आंसुओं के सदके मदीने की मोहब्बत लिख दे

मैं जब मदीने को जाऊंगा वापस हरगिज़ नहीं आऊंगा

गर वापसी लाज़मी हैं मेरी तो मेरा घर मदीना लिख दे

मदीने की बाते मेरे दिल को छू गयी

मेरे हर पल में मदीने की मोहब्बत समा गयी 

मदीने की चाहत मेरी ज़िन्दगी संवार दे

मेरे हर ख़्वाबों में मदीने की तस्वीर दिखा दे

मेरे मौला मेरे हक़ में बस इतना सा लिख दे

मेरी चाहत मदीना हैं मेरी राहत मदीना हैं

मेरा सफर मदीना हैं  मेरी मंजिल मदीना हैं

मेरा सुकून मदीना है मेरी तड़फ मदीना हैं 

मेरा अरमान मदीना हैं मेरा एहसास मदीना हैं

मेरे हर दर्द की दवा मदीना हैं 

 मेरा हर क़दम मदीना हैं

मेरे मौला मेरे ज़ख़्मों का मरहम मदीना लिख दे

मेरे मौला मेरे हक़ में तू बस इतना सा लिख दे !!!!

O my Lord, for me, just write this much—
whenever I think of Madinah,
grant me the vision of Madinah.
O my Lord, for me, just write this much.

My heart trembles, my breaths quiver,
for the sake of these falling tears,
write into my destiny the love of Madinah.
O my Lord, for me, just write this much.

When I go to Madinah,
let me never return.
And if return is destined for me,
then let my home be in Madinah.

My eyes moisten, my heart aches,
when I hear the praises of the Messenger,
my eyes flow in endless tears.
O my Lord, in return for these tears,
write Madinah in my fate.
O my Lord, for me, just write this much.

The talks of Madinah have touched my soul,
the love of Madinah now lives in every moment of my being.
Let the desire of Madinah beautify my life,
let me see its image in every dream.
O my Lord, for me, just write this much.

My longing is Madinah, my comfort is Madinah,
my journey is Madinah, my destination is Madinah.

My peace is Madinah, my yearning is Madinah,
my hope is Madinah, my essence is Madinah.

The cure for every pain of mine is Madinah,
every step of mine leads to Madinah.

O my Lord, make Madinah the healing of my wounds,
O my Lord, for me, just write this much.
