तमन्ना हैं TAMANNA HAI

तमन्ना हैं तुम्हारे इश्क़ में हद से गुजर जाऊं

सोचता हूं फिर मैं कहां कहां से गुजर जाऊं

हद से तो मैं पहले भी  गुजर चुका था यहां

अब तुम्हारे दिल की  सरहद से गुजर जाऊं

किसी गुलिस्तां में बसेरा बनाए हुए बैठा हूं

चमन में बाहर मगर तुमसे होते गुजर जाऊं

मेरे दिल की गहराई में तुम्हारी यादें बसी हैं

मगर मैं तुम्हारी मुस्कान से होते गुजर जाऊं 

एक बात बताओ मुझे ये इश्क़ क्या चीज़ हैं

कमबख्त जब होता हैं तो सबसे गुजर जाऊं

एक तो तुम्हारी आँखें ये  होठों की तबस्सुम

से लगता हैं ,,तुम्हारे रुखसार से गुजर जाऊं 

I long to cross all limits in the madness of your love,
But then I wonder — through how many places must I pass?

I have already crossed all limits once before,
Now I wish to cross the borders of your heart.

I sit here making my home in some garden,
Yet I wish to pass through you amidst all the flowers.

In the depths of my heart, your memories reside,
But I wish to pass through your smile itself.

Tell me one thing — what really is this thing called love?
When it strikes, it makes me pass beyond everything.

And then — your eyes, your smiling lips —
Make me feel as if I should pass through the glow of your cheeks.
