काश गुज़रा हुआ वो ज़माना मिले 

कोई मिलने का तुमसे बहाना मिले 

       नींद भी अपनी ले के चले आएँ हैं

       तेरी पलकों में इनको सिरहाना मिले 

शम्मा महफ़िल में जलती रही रात भर

काश इसको भी कोई दिवाना मिले 

      क्या बताओगे बोलो जहाँ को अगर

      आपके लब पे मेरा तराना मिले 

आपके नाम खुद को सरापा किया

आपके प्यार का भी बयाना मिले 

      साँस से साँस टकराई दोनों जहाँ

      चाहतों का वो मन्ज़र सुहाना मिले 

लड़खड़ाने लगी साँस की अब

आप मिल जाओ न क्यूँ ज़माना मिले
