ये दुनिया ऐसी ही है साहब, यहाँ लोग चेहरे बदल लेते हैं।
सच्चाई की कीमत यहाँ कोई नहीं पूछता, झूठ से मतलब,
बस दिखावे और फ़रेब को सबसे बड़ा हुनर बना लेते हैं।
साथ वहाँ तक, मतलब जहाँ तक—तो सुना ही होगा आपने,
ये वो हक़ीक़त है जिससे लोग अक्सर नज़रें छुपा लेते हैं।
आस्तीन के साँपों की कुछ निशानी ऐसी भी होती है जो,
तेरे मुँह पर तेरे और मेरे मुँह पर पीठ पीछे ख़ंजर घोंप देते हैं।
कुछ लोग रंग ऐसे बदलते हैं जैसे गिरगिट के रिश्तेदार हों,
बात वफ़ादारी की करते हैं और मुश्किल में मुँह मोड़ लेते हैं।
ये दुनिया ऐसी चीज़ है, जिसे कभी जीता नहीं जा सकता,
यहाँ हर चेहरे पर एक मुखौटा है, जो लोग कभी भी पहन लेते हैं।

People Change Their Faces
Some people treat one person like a shoe beneath their feet,
while placing another upon their heads.
Such is this world, sir—
people here change their faces.
No one asks the price of truth anymore;
they only care about lies.
They turn pretence and deception
into the greatest skill.
You must have heard it before—
people stay with you only as long as they have a purpose.
This is the reality
from which people often hide their eyes.
Some snakes hiding in sleeves have a strange habit—
they smile at your face,
but stab you behind your back.
Some people change their colors
as if they were relatives of chameleons.
They talk about loyalty,
but turn away when times become difficult.
This world is something
that can never truly be conquered.
Behind every face is a mask,
and people can put it on whenever they wish.
