आखिर कौन थे मुख्तार अंसारी - AAKHIR KOUN THE MUKHTAR ANSARI

 

करीब दो दशक पहले की बात हैं एक बार एक विधवा औरत अपने बेटी के शादी के लिए मुख्तार अंसारी के घर जिसको फाटक कहा जाता हैं, वहां पहुंची मुख्तार अंसारी की निगाह गेट पर खड़ी उस औरत पर पड़ी। मुख्तार ने उन्हे बुलाया और पूछा क्या परेशानी हैं। उन्होने बताया हमारी बेटी की शादी की तारीख तय हैं लेकिन पैसे नही हैं। मैं एक दिन और आई थी लेकिन कोई दिखा नही और मैं चली गई। आज फिर आयी हूँ।

मुख्तार ने अपने बड़े भाई अफजाल अंसारी को बुलाया और कहां कि कोई कैसे इस घर से आकर यहां से वापस चला जा रहा हैं। देखिए इनकी बेटी की शादी है, आप पूरा इंतजाम कर दीजिए। अफजाल अंसारी ने पूरी व्यवस्था की और शादी के दिन वहां रहे भी। यह महज़ एक किस्सा हैं। ऐसी हजारों कहानियां हैं मदद की।

मुख्तार अंसारी के परिवार ने इस देश के लिए शहादत दी हैं। मुख्तार अंसारी के दादा डा.मुख्तार अहमद अंसारी लंदन में डाक्टर थे। गांधीजी और नेहरू जी के कहने पर वहां से आकर देश के स्वतंत्रता आंदोलन में कूद पड़े। लंदन के जिस हास्पिटल में वह डाक्टर थे वहां के एक वार्ड का नाम आज भी उनके नाम पर है। उनका देश के स्वतंत्रता आंदोलन में कद इतना बडा़ था कि 1927 के राष्ट्रीय अधिवेशन में वह भारतीय राष्ट्रीय कांग्रेस के अध्यक्ष बने।

मुख्तार अंसारी के नाना ब्रिगेडियर उस्मान को देश के बंटवारे के समय मोहम्मद अली जिन्ना ने कहा कि आप पाकिस्तान में चले आइए हम आपको पाकिस्तान की सेना का जनरल बना देंगें लेकिन ब्रिगेडियर उस्मान ने कहा कि मैं भारत मां का बेटा हूं, यहीं शहीद हो जाऊंगा लेकिन पाकिस्तान हरगिज नही आऊंगा। ब्रिगेडियर उस्मान की बहादुरी और शहादत के किस्से कौन नही जानता।  जब वह पाकिस्तानी सेना से लड़ते शहीद हुए तो भारत के तत्कालीन प्रधानमंत्री जवाहरलाल नेहरु ने उनकी अर्थी को कंधा दिया था। 

गाजीपुर में मुख्तार अंसारी के दरवाजे पर जो भी गरीब इंसान शादी ब्याह, दवा, पढ़ाई के लिए मदद मांगने गया कभी निराश नही हुआ। किसी से जाति, धर्म और मज़हब के बारे में नही पूछा गया कभी। सबकी मदद हुई ..।

About two decades ago, once a widow woman reached Mukhtar Ansari's house, which is called Phatak, for her daughter's marriage. Mukhtar Ansari's eyes fell on the woman standing at the gate. Mukhtar called him and asked what was the problem. He told that the date of our daughter's marriage has been fixed but there is no money. I came one more day but no one was seen and I left. I have come again today.

Mukhtar called his elder brother Afzal Ansari and asked how come someone is coming from this house and going back from here. Look, his daughter is getting married, you make complete arrangements. Afzal Ansari made complete arrangements and was also there on the wedding day. This is just an anecdote. There are thousands of such stories of help.

Mukhtar Ansari's family has given martyrdom for this country. Mukhtar Ansari's grandfather Dr. Mukhtar Ahmed Ansari was a doctor in London. On the advice of Gandhiji and Nehruji, he came from there and jumped into the country's freedom movement. A ward in the London hospital where he was a doctor is still named after him. His stature in the country's freedom movement was so great that he became the President of the Indian National Congress in the national convention of 1927.

At the time of partition of the country, Mohammad Ali Jinnah told Mukhtar Ansari's maternal grandfather Brigadier Usman that you come to Pakistan, we will make you the General of Pakistan Army, but Brigadier Usman said that I am the son of Mother India, I will be martyred here, but I will never come to Pakistan. Who does not know the stories of bravery and martyrdom of Brigadier Usman? When he was martyred fighting the Pakistani army, the then Prime Minister of India Jawaharlal Nehru shouldered his funeral pyre.

Any poor person who went to Mukhtar Ansari's door in Ghazipur to ask for help in marriage, medicine or education was never disappointed. No one was ever asked about caste, religion or creed. Everyone
