बड़ा अजीब हुनर हैं ये उनका 

बातों बातों में यूं रो देने का 

बहाना ढूँढ़ते रहते हैं वो अक्सर 

हमे भी रुलाने का 

वरना हमे शौक कहां हैं खामखाँ  यूं 

आस्तीने  भिगोने का 

कद्र आसुओं की नही ना ख्याल हैं पलकों का 

कीमत जुबां की नही ना मौल हैं लफ़्ज़ों का 

माना आखों में ख़्वाब हैं मगर ख़्वाब  काफी नही 

हुनर भी चाहिए उनको हकीक़त में तब्दील करने का 

ये कारोबार गजब हैं इश्क़ का 

मिल गए तो ख़ुशी ना मिले तो बाज़ार हैं रंज का 

हैं बेपरवाह मगर फिर भी ख़्याल हैं उनका 

बेवजह कही वजह ना बन जाए उनकी ख़ामोशी का 

बड़ा अजीब हुनर है ये उनका
