विरासत में नही मिला मुझे ये हुनर
एक एक अल्फाज़ चुम कर लाया हूं
खानदानी नही हैं ये पेशा मेरा
महज़ एक शौक के खातिर इधर चला आया हूं
मेरी वसीयत हैं मेरे ये चन्द टूटे फूटे अल्फाज़
जिन्हें मैं तन्हाइयों से निकालकर लाया हूं
मेरा वारिस कल पढ़ेगा मेरा ये कलाम
जिसे मैं रात की तारिखियों से ढूंड कर लाया हूं
कोई हुनर नही है ये बस कुछ अहसास हैं
जिन्हें में पन्नो पर बिखेरने आया हूं
विरासत में मिले थे मुझे कुछ जज़्बात
जिन्हें मैं अपने अल्फाज़ो में ढालने आया हूं
I did not inherit this skill
I have kissed each alphabet
This profession is not my family
I have come here just for a hobby
My will is my few broken words
Whom I have brought out of loneliness
my heir will read my kalam tomorrow
which I have found from the dates of the night
No talent, it's just some feeling
Whom I have come to scatter on the pages
I inherited some feelings
whom I have come to mold into my alphabets.
