सिलसिले उदास उदास शामों के

•                                                         तन्हा तन्हा रातों से 

ये महसूस होता है ।

एक अटूट सा रिश्ता इस तर्ज़ का हो 

 पाकीज़गी के जवाज़ से मिलन निस्बत का हो 

हर शय की इन्तहां है ।

हर सवाल का जवाब 

हर मौज का किनारा हो  

ना कैफियत कभी फिराक की होगी ।

ना जरूरत होगी खम की ।

मगर लोग कहते है 

सनम हुदूद ए बहार हो 

हुस्न में बेमिसाल हो 

साथ मे मालामाल हो 

कमाल ही कमाल हो ।

लोग कहते है तो फिर सच ही कहते होंगे ।

में कभी सोचता हूं

काश मेरी चाहत उस हुदूद को छू सके 

जहां पर खत्म हो सके तमाम सिलसिले 

उदास उदास शामों के 

तन्हा तन्हा रातों के ।

I feel this from the sad, sad evenings, lonely nights.

There should be an unbreakable relationship like this

There should be a meeting of relations with the answer of purity

There is a limit to everything.

There should be an answer to every question

There should be a shore to every pleasure

There will never be a condition of separation.

There will be no need for any effort.

But people say

You should be beyond the boundaries of spring

You should be unmatched in beauty

You should be rich in companionship

You should be amazing.

If people say this, then they must be speaking the truth.

Sometimes I think

I wish my love could touch that boundary

Where all the series

Of sad, sad evenings

Of lonely nights could end.
