इश्क़ का नशा मुझ पर चढ़ता चला गया
मुझको बहलाया और मैं बहलता चला गया
दावे तो मोहब्बत के वो बहुत करता था
निभाने के वक़्त पीछे हटता चला गया
हर बात उसकी तव्वजों की मोहताज़ न लगी
वो बोलता रहा और मैं सुनता चला गया
बात जब हद से बढ़ने लगी तो यूं लगा
जैसे कोई पैरों तले रौंदता चला गया
जिसको मैं अपना समझकर बैठा था
वो राह में कांटे बिछाता चला गया
बात समझ में आई मगर देर से सही
थोडा सा नशा चढ़ा था उतरता चला गया |
The intoxication of love got on me
seduced me and i went away
He used to claim a lot of love
went back while performing
Everything didn't appeal to his attention
he kept talking and i left
When the matter started growing beyond the limit, it felt like this
like someone trampled under his feet
whom I used to think as my own
He went on laying thorns in the way
Got the point but it's too late
Got a little intoxicated and went down.
