एखतेदार -- IKHTEDAR

ना दौलत ना शोहरत ना कोई एखतेदार चाहिए 

मुझे तो बस यहां मेरे सदा होने का हक़ चाहिए 

किसी खानदानी जमीदार का वारिस नहीं हूं मैं

मुझे तो मरने के बाद यहां दो गज़ ज़मी चाहिए

मुफलिसी केआलम में ज़िंदगी गुज़ार दी हैं मैंने 

इतनी सी आरज़ू हैं कफ़न - इज़्ज़त -का चाहिए

मेरे पास कोई वसीयत नहीं मेरे वारिस के लिए 

हैं वसीयत ये अल्फाज़ जिनकी ज़मानत चाहिए 

एक अरसे से कुछ ख़्वाब देखें हैं  मैंने भी  यहां 

वक्त आ गया हैं अब  ख्वाबों की ताबीर चाहिए 

एक  एहसास  था जो मुझे मायूस नहीं होने देता

मायूसी  में  बदल  गया मुझे  वो  एहसास चाहिए

I don't want wealth, fame or any authority

I just want the right to be here forever

I am not the heir of any family landlord

I just want two yards of land here after my death

I have spent my life in poverty

I only want a shroud and respect

I don't have a will for my heir

The will is these words for which I need guarantee

I have seen some dreams here for a long time

The time has come, now I need the interpretation of the dreams

There was a feeling that doesn't let me feel sad

It has turned into sadness, I want that feeling
