आज एक बड़ी उम्मीद से तेरे दर पर आया हूं
मायूस ना करना मुझे मैं बहुत सताया गया हूं
ज़माने ने तो हमेशा रास्ते में कांटे ही बोए हैं
पांव में ज़ख्म हैं मुश्किल से चलकर आया हूं
तेरे दर के रास्ते के सिवा कुछ नहीं दिखा मुझे
इसलिए मुंह उठाया और यहां चला आया हूं
तेरी मर्जी हैं या रब अपना ले या ठुकरा दे मुझे
उफ़ ना करूंगा मैं सिर्फ आखों में आसूं लाया हूं
दुनियां ठुकरा दे मुझे एक तू ठुकराने वाला नहीं
मुझे मालूम हैं सिर्फ तेरे साए में पलता आया हूं
दर दर की ठोकरें खाने के बाद समझ में आ गया
भटक गया था मैं इस भीड़ में अब घर आया हूं
