हिज़रत - HIZRAT

हिज़रत के नाम पे ज़िन्दगी नही गुज़ारेगें हम 

भला अपना वतन छोड़कर क्यों जाएगे हम 

खटकते हैं जिनकी आखों में रात  और दिन

कह दो  उनसे इसी मुल्क के बाशिंदे है हम  

ना मेरे अबा ओ अजदाद कहीं गये थे 

ना मैं कहीं जाने वाला 

आज तो आज यही हैं कल मेरा आने वाला 

यूं वतन से एहसान फरहामोशी नही करेगे हम

हिज़रत के नाम पे ज़िन्दगी नही गुज़ारेगें हम 

मैं इसी मिट्टी में पला बड़ा यहीं दफ़न हो जाऊंगा 

दो गज  ज़मीं  में ख़ाक ए वतन  हो जाऊंगा 

मर कर भी ये रिश्ता सलामत रख जाएंगे हम 

हिज़रत के नाम पे ज़िन्दगी नही गुज़ारेगें हम 

इसी मुल्क का बेटा हूँ मैं कोई गैर तो नही 

ये वतन है मेरा मैं इसका पराया तो नही 

कब तक शक की निगाहों से देखें जाएंगे हम 

हिज़रत के नाम पे ज़िन्दगी नही गुज़ारेगें हम  

We are annoyed with the eyes of those day and night

Tell them that we are residents of this country

Neither my forefathers went anywhere

Nor am I going anywhere

Today, I am here, tomorrow I will come

We will not be indebted to our country like this

We will not spend our life in the name of Hijrat

I grew up in this soil and will be buried here

I will become dust of my country in two yards of land

Even after death, we will keep this relationship safe

We will not spend our life in the name of Hijrat

I am the son of this country, I am not a stranger

This is my country, I am not a stranger to it

Till when will we be seen with suspicious eyes

We will not spend our life in the name of Hijrat
